1. About these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Weeksieplatform (“Platform”) operated by Weeksie(“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. The Platform
Weeksie is an online marketplace that connects guests seeking furnished short-to-medium-term accommodation with property operators. We are not a party to any rental agreement between guests and operators. We provide the technology platform only.
3. Account registration
You must:
- Be at least 18 years of age to create an account
- Provide accurate and complete information when registering
- Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Guest terms
As a guest, you agree to:
- Pay all amounts due for bookings made through the Platform
- Comply with the property rules and operator’s terms during your stay
- Treat the property with care and report any damage promptly
- Not use the property for any illegal or unauthorised purpose
- Not exceed the maximum number of guests specified in the listing
5. Operator terms
As an operator listing properties on the Platform, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about your properties
- Hold all required licences, permits, and insurances for short-term rentals
- Ensure the property matches the listing description at time of stay
- Honour confirmed bookings unless cancelled in accordance with your stated policy
- Pay the applicable Platform subscription fee
- Comply with all applicable laws including residential tenancy laws
6. Bookings and payments
Bookings are confirmed once payment is successfully processed. All payments are handled by Stripe. We charge guests the total amount displayed at checkout, which includes the nightly or weekly rate and any applicable fees.
Cancellation and refund terms are set by each operator and disclosed before booking. Weeksieis not responsible for refunds arising from operator cancellations beyond our control.
7. Reviews
Guests may leave reviews only for properties where a completed booking has occurred. Reviews must be honest, accurate, and not defamatory. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms or our content standards.
8. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Attempt to circumvent our security measures or rate limits
- Scrape, copy, or republish content from the Platform without permission
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the Platform
9. Intellectual property
All content on the Platform, including design, code, and text, is owned by or licensed toWeeksie. You may not reproduce or redistribute Platform content without our written permission. By uploading content (such as property photos), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the Platform.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Weeksie is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform, including any loss arising from a booking or stay. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees relating to services.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms, provide false information, or engage in conduct that may harm the Platform or other users. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 14 days’ notice of material changes by email or Platform notification. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance.
